The Castanea Arcadia line is the outcome of the largest research on plants in recent years globally, AGROCOS. A four-year research program, initiated by KORRES and the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Athens, in cooperation with seven prestigious international research institutions. The program was awarded -and funded- by the European Scientific Committee among other research projects submitted by a total of 106 participants. 1,800 plants and 3,600 extracts from biodiversity hotspots worldwide were studied for their antioxidant, whitening and UV protection properties. Castanea Arcadia, the Greek Chestnut tree, was identified among the world’s top performing natural antioxidants. It was proven that Castanea leaves are a rich source of exceptional antioxidant compounds, including lupeol which became the focus for the KORRES Molecular Lab. Lupeol is a compound with strong scientifically-proven antioxidant action. An important active for medicine and pharmacology that has never been used until now in cosmetics as it could not be diluted or absorbed by the skin. We are the first skincare brand to incorporate pure lupeol in an antiageing formula. We developed the innovative HALupeol™ complex -a global innovation. An active hyaluronic acid matrix transfers pure lupeol to the deeper layers of the skin, for targeted efficacy. It improves the appearance of wrinkles in all their dimensions -depth, width, surface-, enhancing skin elasticity and improving its texture. The HALupeol™ complex is combined with the extract of the Castanea Arcadia leaves, rich in antioxidant phenolic substances and terpenoids. Low molecular hyaluronic acid, b-glucans, natural exapeptide-11 and black oat extract, empower the antiwrinkle and firming action of this formula.
